Musk Becomes the World's First Person with a Net Worth Exceeding $700 Billion
BlockBeats News, December 21st, according to Forbes' Billionaires Index, the Delaware Supreme Court reinstated Tesla CEO Elon Musk's wealth surged to $749 billion last Friday evening after the reinstatement of the invalidated $139 billion Tesla stock option from last year.
Musk's 2018 compensation plan, worth $56 billion, was deemed "outrageous" by a lower court two years ago and was rejected. Now, the Delaware Supreme Court announced this Friday that it has reinstated the plan. The Supreme Court stated that the ruling to revoke this compensation plan in 2024 was improper and unfair to Musk. Earlier this week, there were reports that his space startup, SpaceX, may soon go public, after which Musk's wealth exceeded $600 billion, making him the world's first billionaire to achieve this feat.
