BlockBeats News, January 30, according to Coinbob Popular Address Monitor, in the past 2 hours, the Binance whale "pension-usdt.eth" at an ETH price around $2750 once again added to its short position. It currently holds a short position of approximately $37 million in ETH with 3x leverage, with an average entry price of $2750. This additional position may indicate that the whale believes the ETH rebound from the recent low is nearing completion. At the time of writing, the address is still actively adding to its short position.
This morning, the whale fully closed its 3x leveraged ETH short position, realizing a profit of approximately $2.72 million. The previous position was 25,000 ETH, equivalent to around $70 million. Compared to its previous preferences, the new position size may reach $50 million.
According to monitoring, the whale's strategy involves low leverage, a short holding period (an average of about 23 hours), and heavy positions in BTC and ETH. The recent drawdown is about 19%, and the accumulated profit since October last year has exceeded $23 million. The address has recently been transferring its substantial profits accumulated on Hyperliquid to the yield market. Currently, its total lending amount on AAVE has reached approximately $26.76 million.
